African Fund for Guarantee and Economic Cooperation (FAGACE)

The African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) is a financial institution created in February 1977 and specialized in promoting public and private investment in its member states. For more than 45 years, FAGACE has participated in the economic and social development of its member states by facilitating their access to funding.

The authorized capital is 700 million USA dollars in 2014 (to be raised to 1 billion USA dollars in 2023)

The beneficiaries of FAGACE’ interventions are:

  • Private or mixed companies having their headquarters and their main field of activity in one of member states
  • National and international Financial institutions
  • Regional bodies whose action contributes to economic integration of their member states
